Bio
Carol Heindel moved to University Park in 2015, coming from Northern Virginia. After retiring from an IT executive position in 2004, she spent her time consulting, doing volunteer work and taking up a variety of art-related hobbies. Among them were duck carving, stained glass, jewelry making and painting. Her primary painting medium is acrylics, but she has also worked with watercolor and oil.
Carol’s art-related training stemmed from a variety of classes provided by the talented instructors at The Art League in Alexandria, Virginia. Her primary influence was Carolyn Grosse Gawarecki, NWS.
Carol’s pieces reflect a variety of styles, as she likes to experiment. She typically uses bright, saturated colors and varies her subject matter.
