Bio
Kristy Schubert is an acrylic and mixed media painter whose work is primarily inspired by the beauty of floral and ocean scenes. Kristy and her daughter, Lauren, displayed at the 2025 Coronado Art & Wine Festival in 2025. Kristy’s paintings capture the essence of these influences through vibrant colors, bold compositions, and expressive brushwork.
Whether evoking the tranquility of ocean waves, the delicate intricacy of flowers, Kristy's art reflects a unique blend of vibrant color and playfulness. In 2014, Kristy and her husband relocated to San Diego and Coronado, where she immersed herself more fully in her passion for painting. Her art studio, located in the heart of the Gaslamp District on 5th Avenue, became a space for creative exploration. Inspired by the beauty of the Pacific Ocean, the San Diego Bay, and her involvement with the Coronado Floral Society, her work reflects the vibrant coastal landscapes and lush floral influences that surround her. Today, Kristy continues to evolve as an artist, living in Sarasota, drawing from her rich experiences and ever-growing appreciation for nature and design. She also explored illustration through greeting card design and a cartoon strip. Kristy is now pursuing a new joint venture with her daughter Lauren, who is located in San Francisco and Kristy in Florida, where they will display their creative work together at Coastalcanvasclay.com.
